Job Description
- We are looking for a Circularity, Innovation & Eco-design Lead W/M to:
- be in charge of leading Salomon’s circularity, sustainable innovation & eco-design strategy & programs as part of our global sustainability vision & strategy within our Brand department, in our Sustainability team.
- You will report to Salomon Sustainability Director / Program Manager.
Main Activities
- Build & lead Salomon circular & sustainable innovation strategy, roadmap & principles in collaboration with the BUs
- Operationally pilot & support BUs on circular innovations across the company
- Be the internal evangelist on circularity, sustainable innovation & circularity: bring transversal expertise on circularity & eco-design, elevate internal culture and support cross-fertilization within Salomon’s business units (designers, innovation managers, R&D teams, etc.)
- Connect with and represent Salomon in innovative sustainable ecosystems, consortiums, international organizations, grant platforms … (e.g. industry peers, consortiums, ERP eco-organisms, LSF Center for Sustainable Fashion, LIFE European program, Ellen Mc Arthur foundation…)
- Ad-hoc participation to the other transversal projects of the sustainability program
Qualifications
Needed Work Experience:
- 5 years of professional experience on similar assignments in a large corporate sustainability department in fashion industry, outdoor industry or associated industry
- Significant experience in an international organization required
Education:
- Engineering school in Sustainability, Environment, Eco-Design or Materials
Foreign Language(s):
- Proficiency in English and French
IT Skills:
- Mastering Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
- Knowledge of environmental impact measurement tools & design thinking tools
Specific Skills:
- Mastery of sustainable development issues, if possible in the fashion and/or outdoor sector
- Mastery of circularity, eco-design, sustainable & systemic innovations
- Biomimetics and regenerative expertise
- Experience of complex supply & value chains
- Systemic understanding of issues and challenges
- Project management
Other Specific Transversal Skills:
- Capacity to federate, lead, influence and drive change among a complex ecosystem of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and oral communication / public speaking skills
- Ability to work in transverse and cross-functional inter-departmental teams
- Passionate about sustainability and outdoor sports
