The latest generation of durably waterproof, windproof and breathable Gore-Tex apparel and shoes is free from PFAS*, lightweight, robust and saves resources. Thanks to a thinner membrane and lower mass, the CO2 footprint has been reduced. In addition brand partners can choose laminates which are constructed with recycled textiles or have been dyed with water saving dyeing methods. A PFAS-free DWR ensures water beads up, resulting in a great consumer wearing comfort. Thus far, with research, development and testing Gore has played its part in “responsible performance.”

The new Gore-Tex fabrics are very durable. But the modern, PFAS-free impregnations on the outer fabric wear off over time. To ensure long-term functionality, you need to wash and care for your apparel (including shoes and gloves) properly and, above all, regularly. It’s very simple. It’s good for the environment in the long term and it pays off: Use your garment until it’s really, truly, done. Even if damaged, you can often have it repaired by authorized repair centers. Your beloved jacket is designed to protect you in every situation.

In sum: Make clear, conscious busing decisions, invest in a product you really need and use it as intended. In addition: Wash, care, and repair (if needed) your garment so that you can enjoy it for a very long time. Love it for longer.
