EOCA vote opens to select 2024 conservation projects – Cast your vote here!

The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) has launched its public vote for selecting 2024 conservation projects for funding. This initiative offers global outdoor enthusiasts the chance to support impactful, grassroots conservation efforts.

The EOCA is excited to announce that the second public vote of the year is now live, inviting the public to help choose conservation projects that will receive 2024 funding. This is a unique chance to spotlight pressing conservation issues highlighted by shortlisted organizations seeking financial support.

Twice yearly, nonprofits apply to EOCA for project-specific funding up to €30,000. This funding is provided by over 140 member companies within the European outdoor sector. These companies, committed to preserving natural spaces, combine their resources to amplify conservation impact more effectively than they could independently.

EOCA funding criteria mandate that selected projects address a threat to habitat or species, integrate educational elements, create a positive legacy, benefit the local community, and support efforts to mitigate climate change and biodiversity loss. Each project must also align with the interests of outdoor enthusiasts, reinforcing the connection between nature and recreation.

“This funding round, we received 136 applications and, after an extensive and rigorous selection process, we are delighted to present our 13 shortlisted projects in nine different countries,” shares Catherine Savidge, EOCA’s Joint General Manager.

“Through this public vote, we want to give all outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers the opportunity to help us select which projects EOCA funds this autumn, thanks to EOCA members.”

To participate in the voting, please visit EOCA Project Voting. Voting closes on Nov. 12 at 12 p.m. (GMT) / 1 p.m. (CET).
