June 10, 2026 Sustainability Exchange: from regulation to action
At its October 13–14, 2026 edition, Performance Days introduces the new Sustainability Exchange, a dedicated space for dialogue, orientation and collaboration around the sustainability challenges currently shaping the textile industry.
Building on the former Sustainability Lounge, the new concept takes a broader and more interactive approach. Alongside environmental and social topics, a particular focus lies on the rapidly evolving EU regulatory landscape. With new requirements affecting everything from product development and supply chains to sustainability claims and consumer communication, the need for clarity and exchange across the industry is growing.
Workshops turn EU regulation into sustainability communication
The Sustainability Exchange aims to translate this complexity into practical dialogue. Workshops, discussions and expert-led formats will bring together brands, suppliers, innovators and sustainability specialists to explore what new legislation means in practice – and how the different parts of the value chain can respond together.
One example is the interactive workshop “Navigating EmpCo: Aligning Sustainability Messaging Across the Value Chain,” led by Gabriel Arthur, editor-in-chief of Suston Magazine and CEO of NORR Agency. Against the backdrop of the Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition (EmpCo) Directive, the session explores how suppliers, ingredient brands and consumer-facing brands can better understand each other’s requirements, align their communication and amplify credible sustainability messages.
Suston joins the conversation on credible sustainability communication
The underlying question reaches beyond compliance: How can the industry communicate sustainability progress credibly while navigating increasingly complex regulatory requirements?
With Suston accompanying the Sustainability Exchange, the new area creates a meeting point where regulation, communication and practical implementation come together, turning complexity into exchange and, ultimately, action.
