July 2, 2026 Salomon launches repair program in Europe

European customers can now repair their Salomon products through a simple online process, helping them keep gear in use for longer instead of replacing it.

Following its initial debut in France in April 2026, Salomon has expanded its repair service program for apparel and bags across Europe. The service is now also available in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, with further rollout planned across the EMEA region.

Marie-Laure Piednoir, Global Sustainability and Impact Director at Salomon, says the program reflects the brand’s approach to product longevity.

“This program reflects Salomon’s belief that products are built to perform, endure and accompany people through meaningful experiences in the mountain and beyond. Repairing them allows those experiences to last longer.”

Making repair simple and accessible

The service is designed to remove barriers to repair. Customers submit a request online, ship their product to a repair hub, and receive it back within 7–10 days. Salomon covers shipping, while customers pay for the repair itself.

To deliver the service at scale, Salomon has partnered with United Repair Center (URC), a repair specialist with experience in outdoor and lifestyle product repair. URC operates facilities across Europe, including Amsterdam, London and Paris.

Building on a broader circularity approach

Extending the life of products is one way to reduce environmental impact. Repair services form part of a broader circular economy approach focused on product longevity, materials and end-of-life solutions. Amer Sports’ sustainability strategy names circular economy as a core focus area, with an emphasis on keeping products and materials in use for longer.

This includes scaling repair networks, enabling resale and developing products designed for durability and repair. Salomon’s program contributes to this approach by embedding repair into the customer journey.

Repair services are becoming more accessible across the outdoor industry, and play a role in reducing waste and supporting circularity.
