June 1, 2026 Jury taps two sustainability winners for Scandinavian Outdoor Award
Following field testing in the mountains of Trentino, Italy, Fjällräven’s Keb Lätt 55 and OrganoTex Odor Remover took the Overall Winner and Sustainability Award respectively.
An independent jury of outdoor journalists selected the winners, recognizing products that excel in performance, innovation, functionality and responsible product development. This season’s competition was particularly strong, with all nominated products demonstrating quality, thoughtful design and solid field performance.
The winning products were tested across Trentino’s varied alpine terrain, where changing weather, demanding trails and long days in the mountains served as the proving ground. The jury spent several days hiking and comparing the nominated gear in the field, including a night camping in the award-winning Nordisk Sirius 4 EXP.
Overall Winner: Fjällräven Keb Lätt 55
The jury selected the Keb Lätt 55 as the season’s Overall Winner. No other trekking pack was found to combine low weight, load capacity, carrying comfort and durability as effectively. The carry system handles loads up to 18 kilos and allows freedom of movement. The pack is made from recycled polyamide with a UHMWPE ripstop construction, weighs 1,130 grams and can be stripped down to 800 grams.

Frank Wacker, jury member at Outdoor Magazin, captured the pack’s appeal: “Building a pack like the Fjällräven Keb Lätt is an art: it combines superb load-carrying comfort up to 18 kg with freedom of movement, low weight, durability, and exactly the features you need – nothing more, nothing less.”
Sustainability Award: OrganoTex Odor Remover
OrganoTex’s ShoeCare Odor Remover took the Sustainability Award. Manufactured in Sweden using biobased and biodegradable ingredients, the product carries a peppermint scent and is described by the jury as easy to apply.

One jury member summed up the verdict after testing the product the evening before:
“Finally, I can wear my favorite shoes again without having to warn everyone before taking them off.”
