April 28, 2026 Keen and retailer Ellis Brigham clean up the UK’s trails
Keen and Ellis Brigham are teaming up with Trash Free Trails for the second year running, bringing a series of free community walks to four UK cities this June – combining litter-picking, citizen science and a good few miles underfoot.
This June, footwear brand Keen and specialist mountain sports retailer Ellis Brigham are joining forces with Trash Free Trails for the second consecutive year, rolling out a series of community walks designed to clean up some of the UK’s most-used outdoor spaces.
Part group walk, part community clean-up, the free events invite participants to get outside and make a difference along the way. Setting off from Ellis Brigham stores in Manchester, Bristol, London and Keswick, each route combines easy-going walks with litter-picking, citizen science and the occasional quirky discovery underfoot.
Four events across the UK this June
- Manchester Social 6k Walk – Saturday, June 6. 11:00–14:00
- Bristol Social 5k Walk – Sunday, June 7. 11:00–14:00
- London Social 5k Walk – Saturday, June 12. Covent Garden. 11:00–14:00
- Keswick Citizen Science Expedition 10k Walk – Sunday, June 13. 11:00–17:00
Litter-picking meets citizen science
The Keswick event offers participants first-hand experience of removing, recording and reporting data on terrestrial pollution, powered by Trash Free Trails‘ research into single-use pollution, set within one of the UK’s most-visited national parks.
Each event is led by Trash Free Trails ambassadors and built around relaxed participation – whether that means logging data, filling a bin bag or simply noticing what has been left behind on the trail. All events are family and dog friendly. Goodie bags and prizes for the most unusual litter finds are also on offer.
